Beijing Huijia Private School ("Huijia" for short) was founded in 1993. It integrates primary school, junior high school and high school, and accepts Chinese and foreign students to study at the same school. It is currently one of the largest and oldest private schools in Beijing. Since its founding, Huijia has shouldered the mission of educational innovation and become the earliest pioneer in China to explore and practice international education. Huijia was authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) in 1997. Since then, it has gradually built and improved IB coherent education covering PYP, MYP, and DP, and has insisted on offering only IB courses for many years. Huijia adheres to the educational mission of "new, high-grade, international" and the educational principle of "equal emphasis on disciplines, arts, and sports" and is committed to building an open, diverse, and choice-rich educational ecosystem. The school not only focuses on academic excellence, but also regards the cultivation of creativity, the shaping of aesthetic character and the building of a healthy body as equally important pillars of education.
