在法拉古特2026届毕业生中，张蓝兮（Zinnia）像一缕温暖明媚的阳光。她没有堆砌华丽的履历标签，而是带着与生俱来的开朗与从容，在OSSD课程体系的自由土壤中肆意生长，最终收获海外名校的青睐。她的经历印证了一个道理：最动人的力量，源自敢于做自己的勇气与真诚热爱生活的态度——当你活成自己，世界自会为你让路。
PART01.
相遇：
当“社牛”遇见“自由”，便是天作之合
Zinnia从小活泼外向，热爱社交，对世界充满好奇。“我从小性格活泼，爱说爱笑，无论走到哪里都能结交朋友。我坐不住，想法多，胆子大，对新鲜事物永远充满好奇。”幸运的是，她的父母从不把“乖巧听话”当作唯一标尺，反而鼓励她尽情探索。这种家教，让她练就了一颗乐观积极、不内耗的“大心脏”。

正是这份自信与开朗，让她在第一次接触法拉古特时就感受到灵魂的契合。“学校自由包容、多元开放的校园氛围，让我完全不必压抑自身性格，能够肆无忌惮地做最真实的自己。”她将法拉古特比作一个“能量补给站”，在这里，她收获了并肩作战的挚友、亦师亦友的师长，以及一段足以在往后岁月里反复回味的闪光青春。

选择OSSD课程，是她深思熟虑后的“最优解”：“它区别于传统应试教育的刻板固化，全程注重学生个人综合成长，不仅看重纸面成绩，更培养独立思考、自主自信与综合社交能力。”在她看来，ENG4U是最具特色的课程之一，“它是OSSD学习旅程中非常关键的一门课，课程内容专业扎实，知识体系完整连贯，是我顺利申请到梦校最核心的底气与知识储备。”

PART02.
节奏：
张弛有度，在从容中高效成长
如果用一个词形容Zinnia的学习状态，那便是“张弛有度”。她对数学情有独钟，享受逻辑闭环带来的颅内高潮。“法拉古特的数学课堂恰好给了我这种心流体验，课程安排科学合理，课堂内容生动不枯燥，老师讲解通透。”这种松弛的课堂氛围，让她能够沉下心来，一步步稳步提升学科成绩。

谈及平衡学业与天性，她分享了自己的处世哲学：“一直以来，我都秉持着‘玩得尽兴洒脱，学得专注投入’的态度。课堂之上专心致志，紧跟老师思路；课余时间随心放松，享受生活。”OSSD全程注重日常学习过程考核的模式，与她的节奏高度契合：“我可以用自己高效的学习方式理解知识点，平时和同学互相探讨交流，最终学习效果反而事半功倍。”

在她的理解中，法拉古特赋予同学们三样最为珍贵的“隐形资产”：从容自信的表达力、快速灵活的环境适应力，以及真诚纯粹的社交共情力。她认为，这些能力“并非靠刻意锻炼而来，而是在日复一日的课堂学习、师生交流、同学协作中，一点点自然沉淀而成的。”

关于学习方法，她特别强调：“课堂学习的时间最重要，全程要紧跟老师思路，遇到疑问大胆举手提问。时刻放平学习心态，保持松弛感，长久自信的好心态才是长效高效学习的关键。”

破局：
真诚，是最有力的申请武器
在学术规划上，Zinnia是个清醒的“战略家”。选课时，她死死锚定理科方向，不盲从、不摇摆，把ENG3U到ENG4U作为主线任务，数理化为坚实辅线。即便在11年级被会计学的琐碎知识点“绊了一跤”，她也没有陷进焦虑的泥潭，而是在老师的梳理下迅速调整框架，及时止损。“与其死磕短板，不如把长板练到发烫。”

在申请季，Zinnia决定在文书中展示最真实的自己。她的履历没有繁花似锦，文书中刻画着一个鲜活、明朗、敢爱敢恨的灵魂。“我敢大方表达想法，真心对待每一个人，面对学习难题从不轻易退缩。”她认为这份真实就是最大的优势：“海外名校一直格外青睐积极向上、阳光纯粹、富有成长潜力的学生，而这份真实坦荡的鲜活性格，就是我最好的个人名片。”

收到奥克兰理工大学offer那天，她内心踏实而温暖。“这是我收到的第一封录取邮件，我感受到一种努力被看见、被认可的平静和喜悦。我觉得大学招生官看中的是我这份积极、清晰、一直在努力的状态。”
PART04.
感恩：
出发，去更远的未来
回望高中时光，Zinnia最想感谢数学崔老师：“我们亦师亦友，第一堂数学课她点名让我当课代表，当时我数学并不突出，心里还很紧张。正是这份信任，让我越来越自信。”她也感恩父母无条件的支持：“你们一直做我最坚强温暖的后盾，让我无忧无虑、自信从容地长大。”

展望未来，她希望深耕理学领域：“希望未来从事与科学研究、数据分析相关的工作，把理性思考和实际应用结合起来，做有价值、有意义的事情。”对于十年后的自己，她充满期待：“希望依旧保持此刻的开朗赤诚，经历世事却不丢掉年少时的勇敢与纯粹。”

她寄语学弟学妹：“希望大家放平心态，拒绝申请季的无端焦虑，大大方方做独一无二的自己。”最后，她对母校深情告白：“所有成长与蜕变都离不开母校的悉心栽培，谢谢法拉校园给了我充满爱的环境。”
有人说，每个人都是一粒种子，落在什么样的土壤里，就会长成什么样的模样。Zinnia就像一颗充满生命力的种子——她没有被塑造成千篇一律的模样，而是在适合自己的土壤里，长成了一株独一无二的向日葵，永远向着光的方向，自在舒展，热烈绽放。

Among the Class of 2026 at TFS, Zhang Lanxi (Zinnia) is like a warm, bright ray of sunshine. Rather than amassing a list of impressive credentials, she has flourished freely within the flexible framework of the OSSD curriculum, guided by her innate cheerfulness and composure, ultimately earning the favour of prestigious overseas universities. Her journey illustrates a simple truth: the most compelling strength stems from the courage to be true to oneself and a sincere love of life—when you live authentically, the world will naturally make way for you.
PART01.
Encounter:
When a ‘social butterfly’ meets ‘freedom’, it’s a match made in heaven
Zinnia has been lively and outgoing since childhood, loves socialising, and is full of curiosity about the world. ‘I’ve always been lively, talkative and cheerful, and I make friends wherever I go. I can’t sit still, I’m full of ideas, I’m bold, and I’m always curious about new things.” Fortunately, her parents never regarded ‘being well-behaved and obedient’ as the only measure of success; instead, they encouraged her to explore to her heart’s content. This upbringing has helped her develop an optimistic, positive and resilient ‘big heart’, free from self-doubt.

It was precisely this self-confidence and cheerfulness that made her feel a spiritual connection with Farragut from the very first moment she encountered it. “The school’s free, inclusive, diverse and open atmosphere meant I didn’t have to suppress my personality at all; I was able to be my true self without reservation.” She likens Farragut to an “energy refuelling station”, where she has gained close friends with whom she has stood shoulder to shoulder, teachers who are both mentors and friends, and a sparkling youth that she will cherish for years to come.

Choosing the OSSD programme was the ‘optimal solution’ she arrived at after careful consideration: ‘It differs from the rigid, formulaic nature of traditional exam-oriented education; it focuses on students’ holistic personal development throughout the programme, placing importance not only on academic results but also on fostering independent thinking, self-confidence and well-rounded social skills. ” In her view, ENG4U is one of the most distinctive courses: “It is a crucial part of the OSSD learning journey; the course content is professional and rigorous, and the knowledge framework is comprehensive and coherent. It provided me with the core confidence and knowledge base that enabled me to successfully gain a place at my dream university.”

PART02.
Tempo:
Striking a balance between work and rest, growing efficiently whilst remaining composed
If one were to describe Zinnia’s approach to learning in a single word, it would be ‘a healthy balance between effort and relaxation’. She has a particular fondness for mathematics and relishes the mental high that comes from solving logical problems. ‘The maths lessons at Farragut have provided me with precisely this sense of flow; the curriculum is well-structured and logical, the lessons are engaging rather than tedious, and the teachers explain the material clearly.’ This relaxed classroom atmosphere has allowed her to settle into her studies and steadily improve her academic performance, step by step.

When discussing the balance between her studies and her natural inclinations, she shared her philosophy on life: ‘I have always adopted the attitude of “playing to the full with a carefree spirit, whilst studying with focus and dedication”. In class, I concentrate fully and follow the teacher’s train of thought; outside of class, I relax as I please and enjoy life. ”The OSSD’s approach, which places great emphasis on continuous assessment throughout the course, aligns perfectly with her rhythm: “I can use my own efficient study methods to grasp key concepts, and by discussing and exchanging ideas with my classmates on a regular basis, I ultimately achieve twice the result with half the effort.”

In her view, Farragut endows its students with three of the most valuable ‘intangible assets’: the ability to express themselves with composure and confidence, the ability to adapt quickly and flexibly to new environments, and a sincere and genuine capacity for social empathy. She believes that these abilities ‘are not acquired through deliberate practice, but are gradually and naturally cultivated through day-to-day classroom learning, interactions between teachers and pupils, and collaboration amongst classmates.’
Sharing my experiences of further education with younger students
On the subject of study methods, she placed particular emphasis on the following: ‘Time spent in class is the most important; you must follow the teacher’s train of thought throughout the lesson, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to put your hand up and ask. Always maintain a balanced attitude towards your studies and stay relaxed; a positive, confident mindset over the long term is the key to sustained, effective learning.’
PART03.
Breaking the deadlock:
Sincerity is the most powerful asset in an application
When it comes to her academic planning, Zinnia is a clear-headed ‘strategist’. When choosing her modules, she has firmly set her sights on the science stream; she neither blindly follows the crowd nor wavers, treating ENG3U to ENG4U as her main focus, with maths, physics and chemistry serving as a solid supporting framework. Even when she ‘stumbled’ over the minutiae of accounting in Year 11, she did not sink into a quagmire of anxiety; instead, with her teacher’s guidance, she swiftly adjusted her approach and cut her losses in good time. ‘Rather than stubbornly focusing on my weaknesses, I’d rather hone my strengths until they’re red-hot.’

During the applications season, Zinnia decided to present her most authentic self in her personal statement. Whilst her CV was not particularly impressive, her essay painted a picture of a vibrant, cheerful soul who is not afraid to love or hate. ‘I am not afraid to express my thoughts openly, I treat everyone with sincerity, and I never shy away from academic challenges.’ She believes that this authenticity is her greatest strength: ‘Top universities abroad have always favoured students who are positive, sunny, genuine and show great potential for growth, and this authentic, open and vibrant personality is my best calling card.’
Graduation Ceremony
On the day she received her offer from Auckland University of Technology, she felt a sense of calm and warmth. ‘This was the first acceptance email I’d received, and I felt a sense of peace and joy at having my hard work recognised and acknowledged. I feel that the university admissions officers valued my positive, clear-headed and consistently hard-working attitude.’
PART04.
Gratitude:
Let’s set off for a more distant future
Looking back on her secondary school days, Zinnia is most grateful to her maths teacher, Ms Cui: ‘We were both teacher and friend. In our very first maths lesson, she called on me by name to be the class representative. I wasn’t particularly strong in maths at the time, so I was quite nervous. It was precisely this trust that helped me grow in confidence.’ She is also grateful to her parents for their unconditional support: ‘You have always been my strongest and warmest support, allowing me to grow up carefree, confident and at ease.’

Looking ahead, she hopes to specialise in the natural sciences: ‘I hope to pursue a career in scientific research and data analysis in the future, combining rational thinking with practical application to do work that is both valuable and meaningful.’ She is full of anticipation for where she will be in ten years’ time: ‘I hope to retain the cheerfulness and sincerity I have now, and to navigate life’s experiences without losing the courage and innocence of my youth.’

She offered the following advice to her younger peers: ‘I hope you’ll keep a level head, resist the unfounded anxiety of the application season, and confidently be your unique selves.’ Finally, she paid a heartfelt tribute to her alma mater: ‘All my growth and transformation would not have been possible without the careful nurturing of my alma mater. Thank you to the Farah campus for providing me with such a loving environment.’
Some say that every person is like a seed: whatever soil it falls into determines what it will grow into. Zinnia is just like a seed brimming with vitality—she has not been moulded into a cookie-cutter image, but has grown into a unique sunflower in the soil that suits her best, forever turning towards the light, stretching freely and blooming with passion.
