当“一行代码”遇见“一张录取通知书”，未来的轮廓便清晰起来。10月13日，保利大讲堂迎来里程碑式的一日双启——保利科技大讲堂与保利升学大讲堂首讲相继开讲，腾讯一线专家与香港大学招生官共同走进校园。两场讲座，一场关于“如何创造”，一场关于“去向何方”，共同勾勒保利学子面向未来的成长图景。
When a line of code meets an offer letter, the future starts to take shape. On 13 October, the Poly Lecture Series reached a landmark moment with a dual launch. The opening sessions of the Poly Tech Lecture Series and Poly University Admissions Lecture Series ran back-to-back on campus. Students heard from a Tencent industry practitioner and admissions officers from the University of Hong Kong: one session asked how we create, the other explored where our journeys may lead. Together, they painted a portrait of growth for our Poly learners.

本次保利科技大讲堂第一讲，我们特别邀请到腾讯小程序教育平台讲师朱德晋老师作为首期分享嘉宾，先后为G6、G8和G10学子带来主题分享《优秀小程序是怎样做出来的？》。朱老师结合腾讯一线实践案例，以澳门教业中学获奖作品《今厕一定得》作为鲜活范例，为同学们讲解产品设计思路、产品研发、大模型AI协作等前沿实践，引导大家跳出单纯写代码的固有思维：先洞察真实需求，善用AI工具、理性识别AI局限，建立完整的产品思维。
Kicking off this tech series, we welcomed Zhu Dejin, educator from Tencent's Mini‑Program Education Platform, as our inaugural speaker. He delivered the same talk—What Makes a Great Mini-Program? —across two separate sessions, first for Grade 6, then for Grades 8 and 10. He used Jin Ce Yi Ding De, an award-winning mini-program created by students from Kao Yip Middle School in Macau, as a relatable case study. The session covered product design frameworks, product development and collaborative AI workflows. He pushed students past the habit of only thinking about writing code: learn to identify real human needs, use AI tools wisely, recognise its limits, and build a complete product mindset.

Poly Campus has long embedded technology in its educational offering, prioritising creative thinking, hands-on engineering practice and digital literacy. Our IB inquiry-based lessons expose students to a wide range of digital tools. We encourage learners to spot problems in daily life and turn ideas into tangible projects. This lecture brought real-world product strategy and AI collaboration know-how into our classrooms, aligning naturally with our school’s tech education vision.

当上午的科创思考余温未尽，保利升学大讲堂第一讲接续登场。13日下午，我们有幸邀请香港大学招生团队走进校园，为同学们解锁顶尖学府的真实面貌，带来一手、权威的升学规划指引。
Fresh from the morning's deep dive into innovation, the Poly College Admissions Lecture Series got underway in the afternoon. We hosted the HKU admissions team, who shared first-hand, authoritative guidance and offered students an unfiltered look at one of the world's leading universities.

Drawing world-class academics from across the globe, HKU carries formidable research capacity and international influence, making it a coveted destination for countless learners.
Thanks to our outstanding university admission outcomes — one of our students has received a nomination under the SNDAS, and we have secured 44 offers from Hong Kong's top‑three universities. For this reason, HKU selected ASJ as its first‑stop campus venue for this round of Guangzhou outreach, bringing the on‑site session to our Poly Campus for face‑to‑face exchanges with students.
在本场分享当中，港大招生团队拆解了本科课程体系、多元申请通道、综合选拔标准等核心议题，同时针对G9‑12年级同学的升学背景，同步覆盖JUPAS与Non‑JUPAS两大申请轨道。宣讲从院校特质、多元申请路径、本科人才培养方向，延伸至高校对中学生综合素养的期待，带来原汁原味的官方一手解读。分享尾声还设置特别连线环节，邀请香港大学牙医学科学姐线上连麦，结合自身六年制牙医学士就读体验，为同学们讲述专业学习节奏、临床实训与校园多元发展的真实经历。
During the session, the HKU admissions team unpacked core topics including undergraduate programme portfolio, multi‑track entry pathways, holistic selection criteria, addressing both JUPAS and non‑JUPAS application tracks for Grade 9‑12 students with diverse university‑entry backgrounds. They delivered authentic, first‑hand official insights covering institutional strengths, varied application pathways, undergraduate training frameworks, and the competencies HKU looks for in secondary‑school applicants. Towards the end, a live virtual talk was given by a current HKU Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) student, who shared real‑world experiences of her six‑year programme, clinical training and well‑rounded campus life.
与上午的极客交锋不同，升学专场的互动更添了几分对未来的审慎思考。面对港大招生团队，G9‑G12的同学们不再局限于技术细节，而是带着清晰的自我认知，围绕本科生早期科研参与渠道、特长生专项入学计划、JUPAS志愿填报策略、课外竞赛奖项的文书呈现、人工智能如何赋能传统理工学科建设等现实议题展开深度对话。招生官们结合真实案例抽丝剥茧，将前沿的升学资讯转化为具象的成长建议。一问一答间，不仅消解了升学路上的信息差，更让同学们对“如何成为具有国际竞争力的拔尖创新人才”有了更深刻的体悟。
Where the morning session centred on technical problem‑solving, this afternoon discussion invited quieter, forward‑thinking reflection. Students moved beyond technical details. Further questions spanned access to undergraduate research opportunities, special admissions schemes for talented athletes, JUPAS Band‑A application strategies, documentation of extracurricular achievements, and how AI reshapes traditional STEM curricula. HKU admissions officers used real admissions stories to break down complex information, turning abstract advice into practical guidance. These conversations closed critical information gaps around university applications and helped students grasp what it takes to become globally competitive, innovative young learners.

从“如何创造”到“去向何方”，保利大讲堂于同一天开启两大全新系列，这并非偶然。
It was no accident that these two new lecture strands — creation and future pathways — debuted on the same day.
在此之前，保利国防大讲堂已经成功举办，学校邀请强以文老首长带领同学们回望红军峥嵘岁月，厚植家国情怀。从红色国防教育，到如今全新启航的科技、升学两大系列，保利大讲堂的每一场，都在回答同一个问题：一个人应该怎样在快速变化的时代里，找到自己的位置？回望历史，是为了知道从哪来；触碰科技，是为了知道能做什么；瞭望升学，是为了知道能去哪。而所有这些，最终都指向同一种成长：既有扎根大地的定力，也有看见远方的眼界。
Before this, the ASJ Poly National Defence Lecture Series had already taken place. Veteran Qiang Yiwen led students through the history of the Red Army, fostering a rooted sense of national identity. From this heritage-focused education to the brand-new tech and admissions series, every Poly Lecture circles back to one central question: how can young people find their footing in a fast-changing world? We look back at history to understand our roots. We explore technology to discover what we are capable of building. We examine university pathways to see where we might go. All of this serves one core goal of growth: to stay grounded, while keeping our eyes on the wider horizon.
从强以文老首长带领同学们回望红军岁月，到腾讯专家把产业一线的产品思维带进课堂，再到港大招生团队面对面拆解升学路径——保利大讲堂正在做的，是把行业专家、顶尖学府的真实声音引进校园。同学们在这里触摸过历史的厚度，也看见过科技的锋芒，更开始认真思考自己未来的去向。而未来，保利大讲堂还会继续开展——当更多扇门被打开，学子如何走得更远？
Whether listening to Mr Qiang Yiwen recount the Red Army's journey, learning industry product thinking from the Tencent guest, or unpacking university options face-to-face with HKU officers, the Poly Lecture Series brings authentic voices from industry and top universities onto our campus. Here students feel the weight of history, witness cutting-edge technological progress, and start to map out their own next chapters. The series will keep opening new doors—and with each door unlocked, how far will these students travel?
