Huili School Hangzhou (hereinafter "Huili") is part of Wellington College China. Founded in 2017 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, it is an international school serving students from kindergarten through high school.

On July 15, 2026, the KingLead 2026 China International School Brand Value Top 100 July Monthly Rating was officially released. By dynamically tracking and assessing the brand value of international schools, the rating aims to provide families with timely, evidence-based and effective guidance for school selection, while offering schools a current benchmark for development and helping China's international schools move toward a new stage of high-quality growth. Most schools included in the rating have more than a decade of brand development or the backing of strong investors—an essential foundation and core driver of high-quality development in the sector.

In recognition of its high-quality education, Huili School Hangzhou was included in the KingLead 2026 China International School Brand Value Top 100 July Monthly Rating and received a 4A rating.

The school was also selected for the KingLead 2026 China International School Research Characteristic Top 100 and the KingLead 2026 China International School Humanities Characteristic Top 10.

University Admissions Outcomes

To date, Huili's Class of 2026 has received 205 university offers, averaging 7 offers per student. Among them, 50% of graduates received offers from universities ranked in the QS World Top 10, 67% were admitted to QS World Top 20 universities, and 87% received offers from QS World Top 50 universities. Total scholarships exceeded RMB 4 million, with the highest individual scholarship reaching RMB 1.9 million.

For the United Kingdom, the school continued its strong performance, receiving 22 offers from G5 universities. These included 20 offers from University College London and the school's first offers from Imperial College London and the London School of Economics and Political Science. King's College London, the University of Edinburgh, the University of Manchester and other leading UK universities also extended offers. For the arts, students received eight offers from University of the Arts London, demonstrating the school's strength in humanities and arts education.

For the United States, the school further broadened its admissions portfolio. Graduates received their first offers from New York University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, as well as an offer from Bowdoin College. Beyond the UK and the US, Huili students received offers from leading universities including the University of Melbourne, the University of Sydney, the University of Toronto, the University of British Columbia and the University of Waterloo. They also secured offers from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and City University of Hong Kong. In total, admissions covered 65 leading universities across the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia and Hong Kong SAR, China.

Program choices were equally diverse, spanning 61 subject areas including mathematics, physics, biology, pharmacy, history, communication, psychology, economics and finance, aeronautical engineering and agricultural sciences. Many students also received interdisciplinary or double-major offers combining fields such as mathematics and economics, physics and environmental science, or computer science and economics, reflecting their broad academic potential.

Faculty

Huili has an international, highly qualified and experienced faculty, with teachers averaging more than 10 years of teaching experience. Among Chinese teachers, more than 63% hold a master's degree or above, more than half have studied overseas; among international teachers, more than 70% are from the United Kingdom, creating a strong British educational environment. Faculty members graduated from renowned universities including Harvard University, the University of Cambridge, King's College London, the University of Pennsylvania, Nanyang Technological University, The University of Hong Kong and Zhejiang University, providing strong professional support for curriculum delivery and student development.

For faculty professional development, the school uses platforms such as the Huili Institute of Learning to provide systematic training and teaching research. Programs focus on curriculum design, classroom practice and updated educational approaches, continually strengthening teachers' professional capabilities and translating international education principles into everyday teaching.

Curriculum

Huili has developed an integrated curriculum spanning kindergarten through high school. By combining the strengths of China's national curriculum with international programs, the school provides diverse learning and university pathways.

At primary and junior secondary levels, the school follows national curriculum standards and Zhejiang Province requirements, using a bilingual model with Chinese and English each accounting for 50% of instruction. This approach builds a strong Chinese academic foundation while continually improving students' practical English. At junior secondary level, the curriculum further incorporates teaching principles and methods from the English National Curriculum, gradually developing the academic skills and ways of thinking needed for international programs.

At high school level, the school offers IGCSE and A-Level programs and is an officially authorized Cambridge International examination center. It offers more than 15 A-Level subjects, including art, biology, chemistry, economics, physics and computer science. Students can select courses according to their interests, academic strengths and future university plans, building a solid foundation for applications to universities worldwide.
