KingLead 2026 China International Schools City Index Evaluation System
Evaluation System
KingLead 2026 China International Schools City Index measures the overall development level of international schools in each city. The index assigns scores to individual schools based on their highest rating across KingLead's three major 2026 annual rankings — Brand Value, Innovative Competitiveness, and Competitiveness — then aggregates these scores at the city level. The following is the KingLead 2026 China International Schools City Index Model:
1 Highest School Rating Determination
For each international school, the highest rating achieved on the KingLead China International School Brand Value, Innovative Competitiveness, or Competitiveness annual rankings is used as the basis for scoring. Only schools whose highest rating is AAA or above are included. If a school appears on more than one ranking, only the highest rating is counted once.2 Single School Scoring Standard
Scores are assigned according to the school's highest rating:- Highest rating AAAAA: 30 Points
- Highest rating AAAA: 10 Points
- Highest rating AAA: 5 Points
3 City Index Calculation
A city's raw total equals the sum of single-school scores for all included international schools in that city. The highest city raw total is set as the baseline of 100, and other cities are converted by: City Index = (city raw total / highest city raw total) × 100, producing a 0–100 index for cross-city comparison.
