结语

Conclusion

02 Self-innovation of management structure

Wellington College China (WCC) aims to establish schools that, over time, can flourish with high levels of autonomy. All schools are legally and financially independent with their own governing boards (School Affairs Board, SAB). However, the schools are not independent. They all operate under a clearly defined common framework. We have consistent standards and policies in many aspects across the group.

Wellington College China governance undergoes an annual evaluation process to examine the effectiveness of its strategic leadership. This is done through self-assessment by all governors, collecting feedback from school leaders, as well as working with external consultants to compare ourselves with and learn from the most effective school governance worldwide.

Wellington College International Shanghai is now accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS). CIS evaluated all aspects of school life: from curriculum provision to facilities and from governance to pastoral care. CIS made a number of commendations to the school and there were also recommendations that the visiting team made about how to improve further. Wellington College International Shanghai is to become one of the world’s truly great schools, but there will never be a point in time when they stop trying to improve.

Each year, Wellington pupils, parents and teachers came together to celebrate the annual United Nations Day and International Food Festival. It is also a fun way to help our Wellington pupils learn how to communicate and think across cultures. Conclusion

As the founder and chair of Wellington College China, Joy Charlie founded Wellington schools all over the world with profound educational feelings and enthusiasm. At the same time, she is also delighted to see that her children have exercised their physique and will, trying and finding their own love. What is even more gratifying is that in Wellington, Tianjin and Shanghai, two schools with high school graduates, students have achieved world-class academic results.

Such achievements are inseparable from Wellington's courage to walk side by side with the times and to have the courage to innovate. Joy Charlie said that what is more important than further studies and grades is that she vaguely sees the ultimate purpose of education in her children: they have the sobriety of self-awareness, the motivation for lifelong learning, and the ability to achieve happiness. This is also the future talent that Wellington Shanghai wants to cultivate.  Wellington Shanghai does not forget its original intention, works hard, and makes great strides towards the goal of a world-class international school!

As a high-end resource and service platform for international education, KingLead released the "China International School Innovation Competitiveness Top 100" through in-depth research of international schools from an innovative perspective, aiming to provide more schools with experience and reference for innovative development, help Chinese international schools to carry out the innovative practice, upgrade school-running concepts, and promote the cultivation of international innovative talents.
