Hangzhou International School

Hangzhou International School (hereinafter referred to as "HIS") is the earliest school for foreigners' children in Hangzhou. Since its establishment in 2002, it has been positioned as a non-profit, independent IB world school, and has opened up a truly fertile ground for international education in this city that integrates millennium culture and digital innovation. "Providing opportunities for international students to pursue academic and personal excellence in a caring community" is a mission that runs throughout HIS education. As the only school for children of foreigners in Zhejiang Province that has obtained both the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) six-year certification and the International Baccalaureate (IB) full certification, HIS provides a complete IB continuous education system from kindergarten to 12th grade. The school currently has teachers from 25 countries, uses English as the main teaching language, and also offers second language courses such as Chinese, Spanish, and French, attracting more than a thousand foreign students from more than 50 countries and regions.
